MALACAÑANG has dismissed as “wild imagination” claims that the Marcos administration was plotting to put Vice President Sara Duterte and her allies in jail by 2028.
“There’s nothing to worry about in their statements. They are just creations of fertile and wild imagination,” Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said Thursday.

Duterte had expressed dismay over the sudden investigation into anomalous flood control projects, which, for her, seemed staged.
“You will doubt why suddenly now they are staging a big investigation into flood control projects. It means they are probably cooking up something behind the scenes again that, of course, we cannot see because all of us are focused on flood control,” Duterte said in an interview in the Netherlands.
“If the President is really serious, that would be over in just one day, he could identify everyone responsible for the corruption in the budget. But, well, as you can see, it’s as if we’re watching a zarzuela,” she said.

Sen. Imee Marcos also claimed there was an effort to get rid of Duterte ahead of the 2028 presidential race by appointing a new Ombudsman who is an administration ally.
Marcos accused the administration of hatching “Plan C” through Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla’s application for the Ombudsman post, following failed attempts to oust Duterte through a people’s initiative and impeachment.

But Castro on Wednesday said the Dutertes and their allies should not be afraid should the Ombudsman find it necessary to file a case against them.
“First of all, what does she want to indicate, giving justice to the people or protecting a friend?” Castro asked Senator Marcos, who has close ties to Duterte.
“Does she want an Ombudsman who will not sue or file a case if there must be, like the Dutertes, Duterte’s friends or allies of the Duterte?” she said., This news data comes from:http://ja-qlo-gju-rrqf.jyxingfa.com
